Our Mission

At Love Can Build A Briggs Charitable Fund, our mission is to create a world where every child's life is cherished, and families find strength and solace in the face of devastating loss. We are dedicated to raising awareness about the dangers of drowning, advocating for water safety measures, and providing unwavering grief support to families grappling with the profound grief of losing a child.

Our commitment is

twofold:

  • We strive to prevent future tragedies by promoting comprehensive drowning awareness initiatives and providing swim scholarships to families of young children. Through educational programs, community outreach, and collaboration with partners, we aim to equip parents, caregivers, and communities with the knowledge and resources they need to ensure the safety of children near water. By fostering a culture of vigilance and responsibility, we endeavor to reduce the incidence of drowning and save precious lives.

  • We understand the profound and lasting impact of losing a child. Our foundation is a compassionate and empathetic haven for families navigating the complex journey of grief. Through a range of tailored grief support services, including individualized gifts, an annual memory walk, and a forum for grieving families, we provide a safe space where families can share their experiences, find comfort in shared stories, and rebuild their lives with renewed strength and hope.

Love Can Build A Briggs is driven by the belief that every child's life is invaluable, and that no family should endure the pain of loss alone. Together, with a network of caring individuals, professionals, and volunteers, we strive to create a ripple of positive change that not only raises awareness and prevents future tragedies, but also offers unwavering support to those who have lost a child. Through education, advocacy, and empathy, we aim to honor the lives of the children we've lost and ensure a safer, more compassionate world for all families.

Meshea Ingram

It is my hope through this charity to provide families of loss with the same love and support we have been given through our family, friends, and community. The simple acts of kindness we were shown through meals, cards, and momentous, provided us with immense comfort during one of the hardest times of our lives, and we would like to offer others this same form of comfort.
