Brigg’s Story

Briggs was flown to UAB Children's on July 17, 2022 after being involved in a drowning accident at our family's lake house. After 30+ minutes of CPR performed by his father, his heart began to beat again. What took place during the 5 days after is where Briggs’ story truly began.

We began making phone calls to our family and friends, our church family, Josh's work family, and within 24 hours Briggs’ name had been lifted up in prayer across the country, even as far as China. Strangers were praying. Pastors were holding prayer meetings and church wide fasting. Revivals and camp meetings were beginning and ending their services calling out to God on Briggs' behalf. Mission trips turned into prayer meetings. All religious and denominational barriers were broken. Thousands upon thousands of people were of one mind and one accord crying out to God.

I dreaded sharing the news of Briggs’ passing, not just because I was his heart broken mother whose prayer wasn't answered, but because I was worried that the countrywide prayer revival that had broken out within just 5 short days, would die out. That peoples' faith would be shattered. But, BUT GOD. Messages started rolling in. To me, to my pastor, to family members. Testimony after testimony of how God had and was changing lives through this great prayer revival. Souls were being saved as young as five years old! Elders found their way back to God. Adults and children alike were finding God through praying for Briggs’ healing. Rededicating, rekindling, renewing, and reviving! That is what has taken place across America since July 22, 2022.

No, God did not heal Briggs as we had prayed, BUT, God started a work. He started a great awakening, and my plea to you all is please do not let this fire burn out. Do not cease your prayer and pursuit of a deeper relationship with God. Briggs' story isn’t over. Will you help me keep it alive?

“Ye are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your father which is in heaven.” #BriggsStrong

This I recall to my mind, Therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; Therefore will I hope in him.
— Lamentations 3:21-24 KJV

Meet The Founder

Hi, I’m Meshea Ingram, the founder of Love Can Build a Briggs. I’m a wife, a mom to two beautiful children—Ally and Briggs—and a woman whose life was forever changed by the loss of my son, Briggs, at just two years old.

Briggs’ passing ignited a passion in me to turn my grief into purpose. I founded this charity to honor his memory and to ensure no family has to endure the pain of losing a child to drowning. With a background in Psychology: Christian Counseling from Liberty University and a heart deeply rooted in faith, I’ve dedicated my life to raising awareness about water safety and providing support to grieving families.

Through ISR swim scholarships, educational outreach, and grief support services, I’m committed to helping children stay safe around water and giving hope to families navigating the unthinkable. Briggs’ legacy is one of love, and I’m honored to share it with the world.

Thank you for joining me on this journey to save lives, support families, and build something beautiful from heartbreak. Together, we can make a difference.

Briggs’ story lives on through our Charity,

Love Can Build a Briggs.
