Love Thy Neighbor

Forgive those who haven't asked for it. Love the ones who don't deserve it. Reach out to the people who never reach out to you first.

Don't exclude the black sheep, make them feel apart, wanted even. Go the extra mile for a friend in need, even when your plate is full.

Give your crying babe that extra cuddle. Listen to the ever talking child. Love the ones not getting love at home.

Spend that extra minute being a listening ear to a stranger. Set aside family time, no matter your busy schedule. Visit the shut-in's, the elders, your grandparents, one afternoon spent with company is worth a thousand afternoon's to them.

And lastly, but most importantly, love God with all your heart and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.

The world says to retreat, to set boundaries, to put up walls and protect your peace. It says to serve your flesh, rather than one another. It calls to self service, rather than to servitude of Christ and His people.

Be the change. Reject the societal norm. Open your arms, your hearts and your homes.

“For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:13-14‬
